Family Travel Planning Services

Planning family travel is a part-time job nobody hired you for. Comparing hotels, untangling routes, reading reviews that contradict each other, all squeezed into the margins of school pickups and work.

I do that part. You get the trip.

I'm Megan, a mom of three who's been traveling with kids for over 11 years to 24 countries and 36 U.S. states, from U.S. road trips to Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

I've planned trips with babies, toddlers, and big kids, always around real school calendars and real PTO.

So I don't plan trips that just look good on paper, I plan trips that actually work when you've got three kids, six days, and one shot at getting it right.

You know the trip you want. You just don't have 40 hours to build it.

Ways to Work With Me

1:1 Family Travel Consult, $197

One hour on whatever's stuck: where to go, when to go, what to book first. You leave with a written plan and the call recording. Best if you're booking the trip yourself but want an expert eye on it before you do.

Custom Trip Planning, from $250 per household

I handle everything from research to design to booking. We'll start with an optional kickoff call so I can hear the details a form can't capture. For destinations where it helps, I can bring in a local partner on the ground to handle logistics while you're there.

If using points, you'll book those parts yourself, since nobody should hand over bank logins, but I'll tell you exactly what to book and when. For points trips, the optional call happens after sending the plan.

Tell me about your trip, and I'll confirm your fee before getting started.

From $250 for a single destination, $500 and up for multi-destination or points-heavy. Nonrefundable once we start. The fee covers the research and my time, whether or not you book everything through me.
Cruise Planning, Complimentary

Cruises are what I book most, and Disney cruises especially. Tell me your dates, budget, and who's coming, and I'll come back with up to 3 options, then handle the booking and everything after it. No planning fee, cruise lines pay the commission.

  • Someone who actually understands school breaks, peak season, and kid-friendly logistics, because I'm living them too
  • Recommendations from real experience, not a Google search you could've done yourself
  • Hotels, cruises, and itineraries booked without you losing weeks to research
  • Less decision fatigue, more confidence when it's time to hit "book"

You still get the trip you want. I take the planning, the logistics, and the overwhelm off your plate.

When You Work With Me You Get:

This is a fit if you:

  • Have a trip in mind and no time to make it happen
  • Would rather pay for good planning than spend six weekends doing it yourself
  • Want somewhere comfortable and well-located, not the cheapest thing that works
  • Want straight answers from someone who has taken her own kids to many of these places

Who This is For

I'm honest about fit, because the wrong match wastes your money and my time. I'm probably not your person if you:

  • Are chasing the cheapest possible version of the trip
  • Want unlimited options to compare rather than one well-researched plan
  • Would rather research it all yourself, which is a completely valid choice and what my app is for
  • Travel full-time or on a schedule with no fixed dates to work around

There's nothing wrong with any of that, it's just not what I do best.

Who This is Not For

Cruises, especially Disney. Europe with kids, from Italy and France to the UK. And the long-haul bucket-list trips: Africa, Asia, Australia.

I've been traveling with my three daughters since they were six weeks old. They've helped me test everything from long-haul flights to kid-friendly tours, so the advice you get has been pressure-tested by the toughest critics I know.

Where I Specialize

Yes, plan my trip!
Does it cost more than booking myself?
No. You pay the same rates, and on cruises there's no fee at all since the cruise line pays my commission. For custom trips there's a planning fee, which covers my research time.

Do you only plan trips for families with young children?

Not at all. I started when my girls were small, but my experience grew up with them. I plan for all ages, couples' trips, multi-generational trips, and the tween/teen years included.

Why use a travel advisor instead of booking it myself?

Your trip is 100% custom, built around your family, not a package.
You get my vetted resources, family travel expertise, and the peace of mind of having someone handle the logistics when something goes sideways.

Frequently Asked Questions

When I'm not on a trip or building someone else's, I'm in Rochester, New York, with three kids, two dogs (Teddy and Francis), and the same school calendar you're working around.

My goal is to help you keep the best parts of travel, the joy and the discovery and the connection, without the burnout of planning it.

I also built the Travel Keeper® app. It's the DIY version of my brain. This page is the other version, where I do it for you.
